Key Responsibilities


  • Accounting: Responsible for ongoing bookkeeping (payment transactions, accounts receivable and payable), account reconciliation, and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB and IFRS.
  • Determining and booking monthly revenue and cost accruals for customer projects.
  • Tax reporting: Preparation and submission of VAT returns and collaboration on other tax matters.
  • Controlling & Reporting: Creating detailed analyses, reports, and forecasts to manage the company, including variance analyses and deriving action recommendations.
  • Process optimization: Continuous analysis and optimization of existing financial processes to increase efficiency and data quality.
  • Liquidity management: Monitoring and managing liquidity and preparing cash flow forecasts.
  • Payroll processing in coordination with our payroll office complies with relevant regulations.
  • Interface management with internal departments (e.g., Client Service) and external partners (e.g., auditors). Supporting year-end closing and tax declarations in cooperation with external auditors as a key contact for them and other external consultants.
  • Business partnering: Proactively supporting and advising our customer consultant teams on all finance-related questions, including budgeting and project calculations.
  • Ensuring that all accounting matters comply with legal requirements.

Required Qualifications


  • Successfully completed studies in business administration with a focus on finance, accounting, controlling, or a comparable qualification.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in a comparable position in accounting and/or controlling, ideally in a dynamic environment or agency.
  • Sound knowledge of HGB and IFRS and confident handling of common accounting and controlling tools.
  • Fluent German and English skills.
  • Good IT skills, excellent Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to clearly and understandably present complex issues.
  • Highly structured, result-oriented work style with a high degree of initiative and responsibility.
  • Excellent communication skills to make financial contexts understandable even to non-finance experts.
  • A proactive work style and willingness for continuous development.
