Backend Developer - Digital Health (m/w/d)

Your Responsibilities

• Develop & Optimize: Backend with PHP 8, Symfony 7, and API Platform.
• Integrations & Data Flows: e.g., Mirth Connect, HL7, FHIR—robust, secure interfaces.
• API Design: Build and evolve internal and external APIs (versioning, auth, rate limiting).
• Collaboration: Work closely with Frontend (React) and Product; clean interfaces and clear handovers.
• Performance & Scale: Profiling, caching strategies, queuing, nginx tuning.
• Quality: Unit/integration tests, code reviews, clean code, security best practices.
• DevOps & Infra Ownership: CI/CD, containerization (Docker), orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), cloud (AWS/GCP), IaC, observability (logs, metrics, tracing), alerting & incident handling.

What You Bring

• 2+ years as a backend developer in production (ideally digital health or other regulated domains).
• Strong skills in PHP 8, Symfony 7, and modern API development.
• Experience with system integrations and healthcare standards (HL7, FHIR) plus the web stack (nginx).
• Hands-on with CI/CD, Docker/K8s, cloud infra, IaC, monitoring/alerting.
• Ownership mindset: you take responsibility, create clarity, and deliver reliably.
