Sympatient is looking for an Automation Engineer (m/f/d) to join their team remotely or in Hamburg, working full-time starting June 2025. The role is part of the Software & IT department.

Sympatient is dedicated to transforming mental health care in Germany by building the world’s first Digital Mental Health Clinic which combines digital care with traditional therapy for accessible patient experiences. They have launched two innovative products: Invirto® Therapy, a fully digital reimbursed anxiety therapy, and the Beavivo Platform, a nationwide therapist network for rapid treatment commencement.
Role and Responsibilities
The Automation Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the automation infrastructure, developing custom tools, ensuring high data quality, and managing integrations with external systems such as payment and booking platforms. They will also proactively identify improvements, troubleshoot issues, and serve as the internal expert for automation systems.

Compensation and Benefits
Starting salary from 57,000 EUR gross annually based on experience, participation in an Employee Stock Option Plan (VSOP), 30 days of vacation, choice of Urban Sports Club membership or a Givve-Card, pension plan contribution by the company covering 25%, and a 500 EUR annual training budget. Some benefits are specific to employees residing in Germany.
Candidate Requirements
- Extensive experience with CRM platforms like Zoho, including customization and workflow management
- Programming skills in JavaScript, Python, or Deluge for custom functions
- Experience integrating external systems like Stripe and payment platforms
- Management of self-hosted tools such as n8n, Argo, or Dapr Workflows
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with technical and non-technical teams
- Process-oriented mindset with proficiency in BPMN, EPK, or similar
- Fluency in English; German is a plus
