The Job

This is a first-of-its-kind role at Flo Health. As VP of Strategic Partnerships (Corporate Development & M&A), you will be a strategic member of the CFO’s topline team, responsible for driving the company's inorganic growth strategy.
Corporate Development will lead Flo’s efforts in:
  • Mapping long-term growth opportunities and driving long-term planning
  • Distribution partnerships: Identifying and structuring partnerships that increase customer acquisition and unlock new channels
  • Product integrations: Partnering with third-party platforms and technologies to enhance product value and drive user growth
  • Building and managing an M&A pipeline focused on user base growth, acquisition of period trackers, entry into new markets, and acceleration of major product bets

Your Experience

Must have:
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate development, M&A, investment banking
  • Proven track record of scaled M&A transactions execution from sourcing through integration
  • Experience in communicating efficiently with product and engineering organizations on complex integration projects
  • Strategic vision with exceptional cross-functional execution capabilities
  • Deep understanding of technology business models; knowledge of digital health and consumer subscription markets is a plus
  • Strong financial acumen with knowledge of valuation methodologies and deal structuring

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Flo's partnerships and corporate development strategy in collaboration with CFO and executive leadership
  • Identify and structure strategic partnerships to increase customer acquisition and unlock new markets
  • Partner with third-party platforms for product integrations to enhance value and user growth
  • Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets aligning with Flo's mission
  • Create frameworks for long-term planning, mapping trends, competition, and growth opportunities
  • Build and manage M&A funnel with strong visibility on all M&A activities
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams during deal exploration and execution, including legal, medical, finance, product, and engineering teams
  • Develop and present business cases for strategic initiatives to executives
  • Build and lead a small, high-performing corporate development team
  • Own deal negotiations and structure transactions for maximum value creation
  • Lead comprehensive due diligence processes including financial, commercial, technical, medical/regulatory, and cultural assessments
  • Maintain relationships with key industry players, investment banks, and venture capital firms
  • Drive post-acquisition integration planning and execution for successful synergy realization
