The Job

This is a first-of-its-kind role as VP of Strategic Partnerships (Corporate Development & M&A) at Flo Health. The role is a strategic position on the CFO’s topline team, responsible for driving the company's inorganic growth strategy.

Responsibilities

As VP of Strategic Partnerships, you will:
  • Develop and execute Flo's partnerships and corporate development strategy with the CFO and executive leadership team
  • Identify and structure strategic partnerships to increase customer acquisition and unlock new channels
  • Partner with third-party platforms and technologies through product integrations to enhance product value and drive user growth
  • Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets and investment opportunities aligned with Flo's mission and long-term objectives
  • Create a framework for long-term planning including industry trends, competitive landscape, and growth opportunities
  • Build and manage Flo’s M&A pipeline and ensure visibility on all M&A activity
  • Create a comprehensive process for identifying and assessing strategic partnerships
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams in exploration and deal execution including legal, medical, finance, product, and engineering
  • Develop and present business cases for strategic initiatives to the executive team
  • Build and manage a small, high-performing corporate development team
  • Lead deal negotiations and structure transactions to maximize value
  • Lead due diligence processes including financial, commercial, technical, medical/regulatory, and cultural assessments
  • Maintain relationships with key industry players, investment banks, and venture capital firms
  • Drive post-acquisition integration planning and execution

Requirements

Must have:
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate development, M&A, investment banking
  • Proven track record of large M&A transaction execution from sourcing to integration
  • Effective communication within product and engineering on complex integration projects
  • Strategic vision with strong cross-functional execution capabilities
  • Deep understanding of technology business models; knowledge of digital health and consumer subscription markets advantageous
  • Strong financial acumen and knowledge of valuation methodologies and deal structuring
