Looking for an outstanding product designer who thrives on complexity, designs for systems, and elevates product experiences through craft. Suitable for a Staff-level designer ready to lead ambitious work, or a Senior designer with drive and portfolio to stretch.
This is a pivotal individual contributor role to drive impact through deep expertise and craft. Your Experience
Must have:
- 10+ years designing consumer mobile apps with a track record of high-impact initiatives
- A portfolio showing deep systems thinking, refined visual craft, and user-centered problem-solving
- Sharp eye for interaction design with understanding of micro-interactions and motion for delightful experiences
- Clear communication to distill complex ideas into narratives that influence direction and drive alignment
- Strategic yet hands-on, shaping high-level vision while ensuring design excellence
- Connect user needs with business goals, technical constraints, and cross-functional priorities to drive solutions
- Bias toward action in ambiguity, exploring, prototyping, and iterating to clarity
- Experience with scalable design frameworks and design systems
- Proficiency in Figma and advanced prototyping tools like Protopie or Principle
- Strong self-awareness and commitment to continuous growth
- Collaborative mindset with communication and mentoring skills
- Commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and ethical design
Nice to have:
- Experience designing gamified or behavior-change-driven experiences
- Experience working in health tech
- Knowledge of AI and LLMs for idea creation
- Basic understanding of Lottie or Rive to communicate with engineers
What you'll be doing
Responsibilities:
- Shape vision and drive design strategy and execution for ambitious, cross-functional product initiatives from concept to launch
- Design playful, meaningful features helping users reflect on well-being and build healthy habits
- Lead complex design initiatives from 0 to 1 and raise craft bar
- Turn ambiguous product and data challenges into clear, motivating experiences
- Develop scalable interaction models and visual systems that inspire others
- Collaborate and mentor designers through feedback and craft excellence
- Contribute significantly to Flo's design vision, evolving design language, accessibility, and motion principles
- Champion inclusive, ethical, and emotionally intelligent design at every stage
