The job

Medical and scientific credibility is the foundation of Flo. The Medical Advisors team is split into User Centric and Health teams. The Health team looks after the predictive powers of Flo and works with product, engineers, and data science to offer a predictive experience to users.
This role is OBGYN focused in the health stream, working cross-functionally as a key voice in product development, making recommendations for feature development from a medical credibility perspective, and leading as the medical representative for owned feature groups. The role involves work on AI and ML initiatives, wearables, and more for 2025.

Your Experience

Must have:
  • Medical Degree and experience as an obstetrician/gynaecologist with substantial training – UK ST3+
  • Proven commercial experience with strong commercial awareness
  • Excellent command of English (C2 level or higher in both written and spoken communication)
  • Strong understanding of clinical safety, medical governance, and regulatory requirements, ideally in digital health products
Nice to have:
  • Experience collaborating with software product development teams on digital health or healthtech products
  • Hands-on involvement in AI-powered health features development
  • Familiarity with marketing principles and regulatory constraints in health sectors
  • Experience in health journalism, medical writing, or patient educational materials
  • Former experience in data analytics or coding
  • Experience with regulated products
  • Experience as a Clinical Safety Officer

Responsibilities

Ensure the medical accuracy and safety of Flo’s app, uphold care standards, provide input on medical risk assessments and regulatory compliance, collaborate on AI-based feature development ensuring clinical safety, work with medical team members to support clinical decisions, peer-review medical content, and perform medical reviews of women's health-related content.
Bring medical research ideas to product teams, audit and improve product medical accuracy, steward clinical safety by conducting risk assessments and solving safety incidents, review in-app articles and features for medical accuracy, monitor clinical governance process, and collaborate on predictive health features development with product, data scientists, and developers.

Levels and Salary

Four hiring levels with different salary ranges:
  • Medical Advisor (L2): London £60,000 - £75,000, Vilnius €3,895 - €4,794
  • Senior Medical Advisor (L3): London £75,000 - £90,000, Vilnius €4,794 - €5,753
  • Lead Medical Advisor (L4): London £90,000 - £109,500, Vilnius €5,753 - €6,999
  • Principal Medical Advisor (L5): London £110,000 - £130,000, Vilnius €6,999 - €8,309
