The job
The Product Manager - Experimentation Platform focuses on the user needs, serving those needs through the product team by leading the vision, strategy, and execution of the company-wide experimentation capabilities.
This role owns the product lifecycle for the internal experimentation platform and defines the strategy, methodology, and governance of A/B testing and experimentation across the organization.
The mission is to empower product, engineering, analytics, and marketing teams to make faster, data-driven decisions through scalable experimentation, developing both the platform and the culture to accelerate learning, de-risk product development, and improve business impact and user experience.
Experience
Must have:
- 5+ years of Product Management experience, managing technical products, data platforms, analytics tools, or developer-focused platforms.
- Deep understanding of A/B testing principles, experimental design, statistical concepts, and common pitfalls.
- Strong technical fluency and ability to collaborate with engineers on technical solutions.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience defining product strategy, managing roadmaps, and delivering solutions in an agile environment.
- Collaboration experience with engineering, product, and analytics teams.
- Passion for fostering data-driven decision-making and experimentation culture.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics or related fields, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have:
- Experience with advanced experimentation methodologies such as Bayesian methods, multi-armed bandits, and causal inference.
- Experience building or managing platforms for internal developers/users.
- Proven track record of scaling experimentation programs and culture.
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts related to experimentation or personalisation.
Responsibilities
Platform Product Leadership:
- Define and champion long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for the internal Experimentation Platform.
- Translate platform strategy into detailed engineering requirements, user stories, and specifications.
- Own and prioritise platform backlog balancing features, infrastructure, technical debt, and bugs.
- Act as the voice of the internal customer to gather feedback and identify pain points.
- Ensure platform supports testing methodologies, integrates with data infrastructure, and provides APIs and tooling.
- Develop and maintain documentation and training materials for platform adoption.
Experimentation Strategy & Methodology:
- Develop and drive the overall experimentation strategy aligned with business goals.
- Establish and govern best practices, methodologies, and statistical standards for experimentation.
- Lead efforts to foster a "test and learn" culture via education and advocacy.
- Collaborate with analytics teams to maintain best practices and methodologies.
- Identify ways to improve efficiency, velocity, and quality of experimentation processes.
Cross-functional Collaboration & Leadership:
- Manage stakeholder expectations and align priorities around the experimentation platform.
- Communicate platform updates, strategic initiatives, and benefits of the experimentation program.
