The job
Flo is hiring Engineering Managers in London to lead a squad building the next generation of privacy-first, AI-powered health tools for a global audience. This position involves leading and growing a high-performing team, setting direction, shipping fast, owning outcomes, building reliable, scalable, and secure systems, guiding architecture decisions, championing engineering quality and autonomy, coaching the team, collaborating across disciplines, and turning product ideas into reality.
Qualifications and skills
- 6+ years coding in Scala, Java, Kotlin or Objective-C/Swift
- Experience building distributed systems at scale
- 4+ years managing engineers and leading teams
- Proven track record of hiring, mentoring and building inclusive cultures
- Deep understanding of software engineering best practices and agile delivery
- Strong product mindset focused on user experience, not just technology stack
Nice to have
- Exposure to machine learning or data-powered products
- Full-stack experience
- Hands-on with CI/CD and DevOps tooling
- Background in consumer tech or mobile apps
- Knowledge of A/B testing
Salary and benefits
Annual salary range: £125,000 - £140,000 GBP.
