The Job
Medical and scientific credibility is the foundation of Flo. The medical teams engage medical experts, establish research partnerships with institutions like Stanford University, Johns Hopkins University, and Northwestern University, design AI tools, check medical accuracy, and drive medical credibility across the platform.
The Medical Advisors are divided into User Centric and Health teams. The User Centric team is content-centric, overseeing everything that goes out to the end user and advising on medical credibility and accuracy in features and materials, focusing on the user journey from a clinical perspective.
This role is part of the User Centric team. It requires a fully qualified doctor with experience in women’s health, marketing, and health tech. The role involves collaboration with health-tech experts to promote Flo medically accurately to millions of women.
Your Experience
Must have:
- Medical Degree
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a clinician
- Experience partnering with or in a marketing team in a health-tech or industry setting
- Experience reviewing or creating marketing communications, social media content and user-facing promotional materials
- Excellent command of written and spoken English (C2 level or higher)
Nice to have:
- Experience in women’s health—either as a GP with interest in women’s health or as an OBGYN
- Understanding of clinical safety, medical governance, and regulatory requirements in digital health products
- Experience collaborating with software product development teams for consumer technology products, especially health-related digital tools or platforms
Responsibilities
- Ensure medical accuracy and credibility of Flo’s marketing and social media
- Review marketing communications, articles, videos, courses, and other health content in English
- Collaborate with teams across Flo to brainstorm, brief, and review medical marketing communications
- Work with Flo’s Expert Board to peer-review concepts and campaigns
- Support development of onboarding flows by contributing medical research
- Provide expert input on medical risk assessments and ensure regulatory compliance of marketing materials
- Attend team meetings and stand-ups
- Use tools like Figma, Jira, Miro, and Google Workspace

- Main medical point of contact for marketing at Flo
- Bring new medically appropriate ideas to marketing teams
- Aim for 100% medical accuracy in all communications
- Improve the medical review workflow
