The Job
Flo is looking for a Content Lead for its in-app content team, brimming with innovative content ideas plus the passion and skill needed to lead a team towards a vision. The role involves working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative team of content, product, visual, medical and analytical professionals tasked with driving repeat engagement with the app. The candidate must be expert at knowing what users want from Flo and driving the team to deliver it. The role offers an opportunity to influence how the world’s couples get more in sync.
Your Experience
Must have:
- Previous content leadership role, able to inspire and motivate a team of content creators in high-pressure environments, and nurture talent.
- Skilful planning and diplomacy to get great ideas built, scaled, and released.
- Understanding of content creation within a broader business context, able to pitch content ideas aligned with company objectives and pivot if needed.
- Ability to lead creative projects involving multiple disciplines, formulating and communicating paths forward to senior stakeholders.
- Experience organizing and leading sessions and presentations related to content planning, ideation, and production.
- Portfolio of engaging multi-format content including written health content with medical credibility and social media content with virality potential.
- Network of freelance video script writers and senior content editors, with skills to build a strong team.
- Data-driven mindset to analyze content performance and plan improvements.
- Passion for active ideation sessions and training teams to deliver them.
- Confidence in managing complex content projects end-to-end and mentoring others.
- Growth mindset with openness to feedback and proactive skills development.
- Proactive attitude to deputize for the Director of Content and Creative, pitch improvements, and implement them.
- Strong understanding of app content differences compared to other mediums.
- Experience in health content, making complex health information accessible and engaging.
Nice to have:
- Experience with content in product companies, especially apps.
- Experience with Agile methodology and start-up environments.
- Familiarity with tools like Looker, Jira, Figma, Miro, and Contentful.
What You'll Be Doing
Responsibilities include leading a team of content creators for couples audience content, ensuring content delivers business goals, passing editorial, medical, and legal checks, monitoring content performance and suggesting improvements, presenting work and learnings to other teams, running ideation sessions and workshops, and developing a roster of excellent freelance content creators aligned with Flo's mission.
