About the job

This is a unique hybrid role for a pragmatic AI/Automation Engineer and a strategic partner. The role involves identifying high-impact opportunities and deploying advanced AI-powered solutions to drive efficiency across the company, transforming workflows for non-technical teams from foundational integrations to complex, custom-engineered solutions.
The candidate will apply GenAI tools to real business problems, personally owning the entire process from identifying pain points to designing, building, and delivering robust, scalable solutions.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and implementing production-ready GenAI and automation solutions in a business context.
  • Expert-level hands-on experience building solutions with low/no-code platforms (e.g., Zapier, Make, n8n) and proficiency in scripting/programming languages (e.g., Python) for custom logic, complex data pipelines, and integration.
  • Proven experience with LLM-backed solutions or tools, strong prompt engineering skills, and understanding of model selection and evaluation.
  • Experience working with REST APIs, setting up technical infrastructure like API keys, authentication, and deployment environments.
  • Experience partnering with business teams to translate pain points into technical requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong background in change management or technology adoption.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related technical field.

Technically savvy and people-oriented, proactive problem-solver, autonomous in building and deploying complex solutions, pragmatic about AI implementation, excellent translator between technical and non-technical worlds, focused on delivering valuable and robust tools.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with non-technical departments to identify operational pain points and automation opportunities.
  • Design, build, and deploy AI-powered solutions and automations using low-code platforms, APIs, and custom scripting.
  • Own full lifecycle of solutions from prototype through adoption.
  • Support AI Governance process, advising on tool suitability and responsible AI adoption.
  • Lead demonstrations, workshops, and training for tool adoption.
  • Evaluate new models and technologies for process improvements and innovation, including open-source components.
  • Serve as liaison between business units and technical teams.
  • Advise on best-fit commercial AI models (e.g., GPT-4o, Claude 3.7 Sonnet, Gemini).
  • Develop and maintain automated metrics and tracking for AI/automation initiatives linking performance to business outcomes.

Success Measures

  • Delivery of automated solutions that improve efficiency measurably.
  • Increased adoption rates of built tools and systems.
  • Positive feedback from department leaders on utility and value.
  • Development of reusable solution templates for multiple teams.
  • Robust tracking to quantify business impact and performance of AI/automation solutions.
