Since its founding in 2019, Famedly has been dedicated to digitizing medical communication processes in a data-protection-compliant manner and thus revolutionizing the healthcare system. Famedly launched the first TI messenger certified by gematik to improve communication and collaboration within the healthcare sector. This enables medical teams to exchange sensitive patient information, images, and other files in real-time and from any location – from medication plans, laboratory values to X-rays. As a dynamic, remote-first startup based in Berlin with a growing and experienced team, we work together every day on our vision of a healthcare system without information barriers.
As an IT Security & Project Manager (m/f/d), you are responsible for maintaining and developing our IT security management. Your focus is on the information security management system according to ISO27001, the C5 certification, technical compliance, as well as regulatory requirements within the telematics infrastructure framework. Furthermore, you support our team in managing exciting IT projects.
Your Responsibilities:
Information Security, Regulation & Approvals
- Organizational responsibility for information security in the company
- Further development and maintenance of all relevant certifications and attestations (ISO27001, C5, and possibly others)
- Regular risk analyses, internal audits, and controls
- Coordination of departments regarding IT security as a central management point
- Support for specific approvals within the telematics infrastructure framework (e.g., gematik requirements)
- Interface to external testing bodies and certifiers
- Documentation and proof of compliance-relevant requirements (e.g., ISO, BSI basic protection)
IT Project Management
- Planning and controlling internal IT projects in the area of information security and data protection
- Collaboration with our technical teams – especially in the implementation of security and data protection requirements
- Management of IT implementation projects for customers
- Technical sparring in the integration of systems and interfaces (REST APIs, encryption, key management)
What You Should Bring:
- Completed studies in information security, business informatics, IT compliance or comparable is desirable
- Knowledge of ISO27001, C5 certification, data protection requirements (e.g., GDPR)
- Technical understanding, especially regarding interfaces (REST APIs), encryption procedures, IT architecture
- Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style
- Strong communication skills – you can convey complex issues understandably
- Ownership – you take things into your own hands and are responsible from planning to implementation
- Certifications in information security, data protection, or project management are an advantage
- Very good German language skills (at least level C1) in spoken and written
- Residence in Germany or a neighboring country, as occasional presence at the Berlin office is required (e.g., to accompany internal audits)
Important Note: This position is intended as a permanent employment – we are not looking for freelancers but someone who strengthens our team and shapes and further develops our IT security strategy and important projects in the long term.
