Job Description
The Software Engineer is a key contributor to the success of the development team. Responsibilities include leading development efforts, designing structures, quickly learning new tools, and establishing the technical vision. Essential duties include collaborating on software projects, creating software design and flow diagrams, estimating task efforts, taking on DevOps tasks, identifying IT improvement opportunities, troubleshooting system problems, and demonstrating commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
Expectations: Less than 5% travel, 40 hours per week. Reasonable accommodations made for disabilities.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: 4-year degree in computer science/software engineering with 3+ years experience or 6+ years relevant experience focused on C# .NET, experience with RDBMS, Application Lifecycle Management tools, and version control (SVN, TFS, git).
Preferred qualifications: advanced software engineering studies, Restful API development, API design/domain-driven design, DevOps tools (MS Build), distributed version control (git), iterative SDLC, NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, Couchbase), and SQL Server projects via Visual Studio.
Physical demands: Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Noise level usually moderately quiet with frequent interruptions.
