Job Description
The Medical Communications position is fundamental to building credibility and strengthening relationships with healthcare providers, patients, and industry clients. It involves call center staffing for responding to product information requests, identifying and intake of adverse events and/or product quality issues, and medical writing.
This is a full-time, home office-based role ideally for candidates located in Poland, Ireland, UK, Italy, Portugal, Germany, or Spain, who must be legally eligible to work in the EU or UK. Candidates must be committed to working US business hour shifts (9 hours between 2:00 PM and 2:00 AM CET, Monday to Friday).
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Translation of English documents to/from Spanish and delivering responses via phone or writing.
- Responding to drug information inquiries from healthcare professionals and patients.
- Disseminating drug information verbally or written.
- Identifying adverse events and product complaints, generating initial reports per SOPs and local regulatory requirements.
- Medical writing for adverse event narratives and custom medical inquiry responses.
- Coordinating responses to quality-related complaints involving various departments.
- Evaluating medical literature for written dissemination.
- Participating in projects like market research, system development, sales training, and field liaison support.
- Managing on-call duties as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job expectations include maintaining and improving customer service, working from home or a European hub office, working US shifts (Monday to Friday), contributing to process improvements and metrics, and occasional travel up to 10%.
Qualifications
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Life Sciences or healthcare degree or equivalent.
- Strong clinical background and excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Fluency in English (C1 level) and Spanish (native fluency) is essential.
- Strong translation skills.
Preferred qualifications include a Pharma D / M Pharma or MSc in Life Sciences or healthcare, call center and medical information experience, fluency in English and Spanish, computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel), use of Medical Information Management Systems and Safety Databases, positive attitude, strong communication skills, innovator mindset, and high principles of integrity and ethics.
