Job Description

The Medical Information function supports the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, medical device, and digital therapeutic products by providing timely, scientifically balanced, evidence-based, non-promotional information for unsolicited requests from healthcare professionals, patients, caregivers, and payers. This role involves medical content development client engagements, requiring excellent communication skills and knowledge in medical information and content. The position is home office based (full-time) and requires a valid work permit in the EU or UK.
Key responsibilities include supporting the Manager, Medical Content Development on content development-related engagements for commercialization deals and consulting services; writing and creating medical and scientific content such as Scientific Response Documents, FAQs, Slide Sets, Abstracts, Posters, and training materials; managing client document development processes; working with document management technology platforms like Veeva PromoMats; performing scientific data fact checking; collaborating on strategy and communication approaches; participating in client meetings; supporting thought leadership content; creating/updating SOPs and guidance documents; mentoring team members; evaluating new technologies and procedures; working collaboratively across teams; and completing other assigned duties.
Expectations include delivering client delight, mentoring, working collaboratively, ensuring compliance, working independently to develop high-quality content, managing quality issues, travel up to 10-15%, and flexible work hours.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include a Doctorate or Master of Science degree in Life Sciences or healthcare with at least 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or Medical Information/Medical Communications. Proficiency in developing global medical information materials, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to interface with all levels of management, proficient editing skills, experience with literature searches and reference management software, knowledge of regulatory requirements, project management skills, and ability to conceptualize and deliver solutions are required.
Preferred qualifications include a Pharm.D., Pharm.M, Medical Degree, or PhD; experience in medical information, communications, writing, medical affairs, and developing medical content across therapeutic areas; strong communication skills; fluency in English and one or more European languages at B2, C1, or C2 levels; analytical and critical thinking skills; project management abilities; results-driven mindset; innovation skills; and high principles with ethical behavior.
