Job Description

The position of Senior Associate, reporting to Associate Director - Engineering, entails designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and data infrastructure. The role involves close collaboration with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient, reliable data systems that support complex analytical queries. Responsibilities include:
  • Designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines for machine learning model data flow.
  • Collaborating with data scientists to ensure high-quality data for model training.
  • Deploying machine learning models to production using tools like TensorFlow Serving, MLflow, or Seldon.
  • Monitoring machine learning models in production for performance issues such as data drift or concept drift.
  • Working with large datasets using frameworks like Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, and AWS Glue.
  • Managing data versioning and experiment tracking using tools such as DVC and MLflow.
  • Ensuring data integrity and quality through validation and profiling techniques.

Qualifications

Requirements include proficiency in Python and SQL, with Scala or Java as a plus; strong experience with Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, and other data processing frameworks; experience deploying machine learning models using TensorFlow Serving, MLflow, or similar tools; familiarity with data lakes and warehouses (AWS S3, Google BigQuery, Snowflake); experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes; understanding of machine learning workflows and collaboration with data scientists and ML engineers; strong knowledge of ETL processes, batch and real-time data processing, and orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
Educational qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, or computer science and 5+ years of relevant industry experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical consulting, or enterprise-level data analytical solutions.
