About Eucalyptus

We’re on a mission to make good health last a lifetime. Eucalyptus (Euc) is the company behind Juniper — one of the world’s largest weight-management programs combining GLP-1 medication with personalised nutrition, movement support, and clinician-led care.
Founded in Australia in 2019, Eucalyptus has helped hundreds of thousands of patients globally by combining technology, design and operational excellence. The company operates across multiple markets and has raised significant funding to support growth and expansion into new geographies and conditions.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced and strategic Payroll Manager to lead the global payroll function and manage compensation operations across our international footprint. You will ensure timely, accurate, and compliant payroll execution across six countries for over 500 employees, through both direct employment and Employer of Record (EOR) models.
You’ll lead a team of 4 direct reports and work cross-functionally with Finance, People, Legal, and external partners to build scalable processes and deliver a consistent employee experience worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Global Payroll Operations: Manage end-to-end payroll across Australia, the UK, Germany, Japan, the Philippines, and South Africa, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local requirements.
  • Manage & Develop a High-Performing Team: Lead, coach, and develop a team of 4 payroll and compensation specialists in Manila, fostering continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Oversee EOR & Direct Employment Payrolls: Ensure smooth payroll execution across both direct employment and EOR models, working closely with third-party providers and internal stakeholders to maintain data integrity and service quality.
  • Compensation Compliance & Reporting: Stay current on global and local employment laws, statutory reporting requirements, and tax regulations. Ensure compliance and manage audits and risk mitigation across jurisdictions.
  • Process Optimization & Automation: Identify and implement process improvements to increase payroll accuracy, efficiency, and scalability, leveraging technology and automation where possible.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with People, Finance, Legal, and external vendors to ensure alignment, data integrity, and seamless employee lifecycle processes.
  • Compensation Insights & Benchmarking: Support global compensation benchmarking, salary review processes, and total rewards strategy with relevant payroll and compensation data.

What You’ll Bring

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in global payroll and compensation management, with exposure to multiple countries and employment models.
  • Demonstrated experience managing payroll operations across Australia, UK, Germany, Japan, Philippines, and South Africa.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing remote teams and a process-oriented mindset.
  • Deep understanding of international payroll compliance, employment tax, and statutory benefits.
  • Experience working with EOR providers and familiarity with payroll and HR systems (Deel, Employment Hero, BambooHR) and Excel.
  • High attention to detail, confidentiality, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Why you should join Euc

Work with passionate teams and best-in-class medical and operational professionals. Eucalyptus offers professional development budgets, leave offerings from day one, health insurance, statutory benefits, and a fast-paced, supportive culture focused on impact.
