Role overview
The Launcher role on the International Expansion team owns market selection, launch and early-stage scaling for new markets. Depending on the assignment, you will own one of three phases: market selection (due diligence and go/no-go), launching a market end-to-end (hiring, partnerships, first patient) or scaling a launched market (P&L ownership, experiments and growth).
Key responsibilities
Responsibilities vary by phase but include:
- Conduct full market due diligence: competitive landscape, regulatory environment, commercial sizing, pharmacy infrastructure and pharma partnerships.
- Build commercial models, make explicit assumptions and defend them to leadership.
- Run end-to-end market launches: hire locally, sign pharmacy partners, and manage cross-functional delivery to first patient.
- Own P&L for scaling markets: run experiments, optimise funnels, hire and develop local teams and set OKRs.
- Negotiate with partners, suppliers and pharma companies and manage complex projects with high accountability.
Qualifications & experience
We’re looking for candidates with high ownership, resilience and strong commercial judgement. Required skills and experience include:
- At least 2+ years in a high-pressure environment (law, consulting - MBB preferred, investment banking) or 3+ years as an operator in a recent high-growth startup. Experience across both is highly valued.
- Commercial modelling experience and the ability to build models from scratch.
- Strong business understanding and independent due diligence skills.
- Negotiation experience with commercial partners and suppliers.
- Project management experience running complex cross-functional workstreams.
- Clear written communication: tight investment theses and slide decks.
- Founder mindset: ownership, resilience and bias for action.
- Data & SQL are nice-to-have: ability to write SQL and build dashboards is advantageous.
Team & reporting
This role reports to Alejandro Ugarte Limer, Head of International Expansion, and works closely with senior members of the international team including Deniz Ekmekci, Owi Weerawardena, Benjamin Emmanuel, Jordan McTeare and Ryan Nolan.
