The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Internal Operations Lead to establish, manage, and scale our Centre of Excellence (CoE) in the Philippines. This role focuses on driving operational excellence, innovation, and strategic alignment across our global businesses in Australia, the UK, Germany, and Japan. Responsibilities include building a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement culture, and serving as a strategic partner to global functions like Finance, People, Growth, IT, Patient Experience, and Clinical Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Lead the growth and maturity of the CoE in the Philippines, define and execute strategic roadmaps aligning local operations with global priorities, and act as the in-country leader and main contact for internal operations and compliance.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple functions, drive standardization, automation, and process improvements, establish OKRs and KPIs, and manage local P&L responsibilities including budgeting and cost control.
- Team Building & People Management: Recruit, retain, and develop top talent, foster an inclusive high-performance culture, mentor managers and team leads, and assist with employee-related issues while ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the liaison for internal operations between the CoE and global leaders, build strong stakeholder relationships in multiple countries, and communicate progress and challenges to senior leadership.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure compliance with Philippine laws and regulations including labor, taxation, data privacy, corporate social responsibility, and maintain accurate filings and necessary business permits and registrations.
Qualifications
Must have over 10 years of leadership experience in shared services, business operations, or CoE environments; proven track record scaling global business service centers; deep understanding of global operations and cross-cultural collaboration; strong strategic, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills; preferably experience with teams in Australia, UK, Germany, and Japan.
