About The Role
You’ll play a critical role in the Financial Control team, owning core general ledger activities while contributing to management reporting, budgeting, and business partnering across EMEA entities. Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will work in a lean finance team where your output is visible and progression is real. This role is suited to a part-qualified accountant who wants rapid development in a fast-moving business.
What You'll Do
- Own the general ledger
- Prepare and post journals — accruals, prepayments, intercompany entries, inventory adjustments, reclassifications — with full audit trail.
- Own the month-end close for designated EMEA entities, meeting deadlines without sacrificing accuracy.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances promptly.
- Maintain reconciliations across NetSuite, internal reporting, and group reporting packages.
- Drive management reporting
- Help prepare monthly management accounts and P&L by department, with clear commentary for senior stakeholders.
- Support variance analysis against budget and prior periods and contribute to budgets, forecasts, and rolling cash flow analyses for the UK market.
- Translate financial data into plain language for operational and commercial leads.
- Keep us compliant and audit-ready
- Ensure compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS and internal control frameworks.
- Assist with VAT returns and other regulatory tasks on time.
- Support external audits — schedules, reconciliations, auditor queries.
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules where required.
- Build and improve
- Identify opportunities to automate and streamline financial processes.
- Partner with commercial, operations, and clinical teams to gather data and surface insight.
- Support ad hoc projects and analysis as Euc grows into new markets.
About You
- Part-qualified and actively studying towards ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.
- 2–4 years in a finance or accounting role with exposure to both financial and management accounting.
- Experience supporting or owning month-end close in a professional or commercial environment.
- Comfortable in an ERP system (NetSuite experience is a bonus).
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills — pivot tables, lookups, basic modelling.
- Exposure to multi-entity environments is a plus.
