User Research & UI/UX Specialist - Female Health (m/f/d)

Do you want to actively help improve digital health solutions for women? Are you creative, communicative, well organized and have 2–3 years of experience in user research and UI/UX in an app context? The Endo app is a digital health application (DiGA) specifically for people with endometriosis. We are looking for a motivated User Research & UI/UX Specialist to help further develop innovative, user-centered digital products. In this role you will work closely with the entire Scrum team including Product Management, Design, Development and Quality Assurance.

Responsibilities

  • Usability optimization across the entire app user journey.
  • Build, maintain and evolve a design system to ensure a consistent visual and interaction language; collaborate closely with Product Owner, Designer and Frontend Developers.
  • Conduct user research throughout the development process: collect and analyse user feedback and derive actionable recommendations to improve the user experience.
  • Feature conception: create user flows, mockups and wireframes and structure new and revised features to ensure a consistent UI/UX experience.
  • Create and maintain user stories and requirements, including acceptance criteria.
  • Run optimization experiments such as A/B tests and other methods to continuously improve the product.
  • Requirements management & documentation: ensure product behaviour is documented and reproducible.
  • Support other tasks related to app development and the DiGA process as needed.

Qualifications

Must haves
  • Completed degree or comparable qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Psychology, Human–Computer Interaction / Cognitive Science, UX/Interaction/Interface Design, Communication/Media/Information Design, Health Sciences with UX training, Social Sciences with a focus on qualitative methods).
  • At least 2–3 years of relevant professional experience:
    - UI/UX best practices in an app context: experience in usability and ensuring consistency as well as usability optimizations.
    - User research: creating structured questionnaires and conducting user interviews.
    - Experience creating and maintaining user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Structured and independent working style.
  • Analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong communication and team skills.
  • German at native level and fluent English.
  • Availability 30–40 hours per week.
  • Willingness to travel 2–4 times per year for in-person meetings (mostly within Germany).
  • Ability to work with short deadlines when required.
Nice to haves
  • Experience in healthcare, DiGAs and working with sensitive target groups.
  • Basic knowledge of agile development methods (Scrum) and tools such as Jira or Trello.
  • Familiarity with test methods (e.g. A/B testing).
  • Technical understanding to collaborate effectively with the development team.
