Freelance Performance Marketing Specialist (m/w/d)

Remote | long-term | approx. 20 hours/week. We are looking for an experienced performance marketing freelancer with a strong focus on PPC and tracking for a long-term collaboration in a regulated environment. The Freelance Performance Marketing Specialist will support our performance marketing operations and report to a strategic performance lead.

Responsibilities

  • Operational analysis and technical overhaul of the existing tracking setup (implementation, testing and troubleshooting) in close coordination with the strategic performance lead
  • Strategic review and performance analysis of existing paid campaigns
  • Operational implementation, management and optimization of PPC campaigns across common paid channels, with a focus on Google Ads and Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram)
  • Budget management and continuous optimization to improve ROI and CPA
  • Ongoing monitoring, analysis and reporting of relevant KPIs
  • Technical and strategic sparring with the internal PPC manager
  • Ensure adherence to internal guidelines and medico-legal requirements

Reporting & Collaboration

Operational role within Performance Marketing reporting to the strategic performance lead. Close collaboration with the internal PPC manager, fixed recurring meetings and presence during core working hours where possible. Remote work preferred within the EU.

Scope & Conditions

  • Approx. 20 hours per week
  • Flexible scheduling with clearly defined coordination times
  • Long-term collaboration on a contractor/freelance basis

Qualifications

Must-haves
  • Very strong technical understanding of online and performance marketing (central must-have)
  • Tracking analysis and technical optimization
  • Google Tag Manager
  • Google Analytics
  • Several years of experience in performance marketing with a focus on PPC
  • Proven operational management of PPC campaigns
  • Confident use of Google Ads and Meta Ads
  • Experience collaborating with strategic leads and internal teams
  • Excellent German language skills at C2 level, written and spoken

Nice to have

  • Experience in medical, pharmaceutical or other highly regulated markets
  • Understanding of compliance, approval and review processes in paid advertising
