About Else Kröner Fresenius Center for Digital Health
The Else Kröner Fresenius Center (EKFZ) for Digital Health is a joint interdisciplinary initiative of Technische Universität Dresden, University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus Dresden, and several partners at the Dresden campus. The center fosters collaboration between the Schools of Medicine and Engineering, which conventionally work independently, by combining their expertise to advance digital health innovations that benefit patients.
EKFZ accelerates digitization in medicine by integrating medical needs with high-tech solutions, leveraging direct access to medical infrastructure. Research areas include robotics, implants, sensors, medical devices, and connected care, focusing on the translation of high-tech innovations into routine medical care through strategic development and strengthened scientific infrastructure.
