About The Role
As a Software Engineer at EliseAI, you won't just write code; you'll build software that improves business operations and makes a real impact on people's lives. You will create the playbook instead of following it. You will be challenged daily to identify how to scale and execute on it. You will work on a small team with other top Engineers, take significant ownership, lead projects, and see your ideas come to life - essentially operating like a small startup within a startup.
Key Responsibilities
- Build systems that enable autonomous buildings to operate and communicate intelligently
- Work directly with customers to develop and own new product features end-to-end from design to deployment
- Improve the scalability and reliability of core infrastructure
- Propose and implement meaningful improvements to architecture and design patterns
- Collaborate with product and design to turn AI capabilities into user-facing experiences
- Continuously ship new features and improvements in an environment deploying over 100 times per day
- Apply engineering best practices in testing, observability, and continuous integration
- Balance speed and quality while iterating quickly on production systems
Requirements
- Startup mindset with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and pragmatism in building and shipping software
- Ability to solve complex problems independently with minimal guidance
- Bias for action, moving quickly from idea to implementation
- Solid understanding of system design and scalable architecture principles
- 1+ years of experience in Java, C#, Go, or Python
- Willingness to work in person at the office 4-5 days a week
Nice to haves include
- Understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven distributed systems
- Understanding of machine learning and data
- AWS experience

Job Compensation Range
Salary range for this role: $240,000 - $300,000. Total rewards include base salary, equity, benefits. Determined on experience, skill, location, qualifications during interview. Details provided by Recruiting Team.
