Job description

Together we shape the healthcare of the future. If you want to work at the intersection of technology, law and healthcare in a fast-moving environment with real societal impact, and if you want to actively shape innovation rather than only mitigate risk, this role might be right for you.
We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel Digital for our Legal team in Germany with strong experience in digital legal matters and enthusiasm for a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. You will work closely with colleagues in Germany and our international Legal teams and report to the General Counsel Germany. You will legally support innovative products and initiatives from the start, advise central business functions on day-to-day and strategic projects, and help shape the legal framework for sustainable growth and responsible innovation.

Your mission

You will be the central contact for digital legal questions in Germany and collaborate with Marketing, GTM, Sales, Product, Privacy, Public Affairs and other teams. You combine high legal quality with pragmatism, business understanding and a drive to make things possible.
Key focus areas include:
  • Marketing, advertising and competition law, especially for digital campaigns, communications and product presentations
  • AI regulation and innovative technologies, including assessing new legal requirements and supporting AI-related projects
  • Platform and digital regulation (e.g. DA, DSA, EAA, P2B, e‑commerce and related regulatory topics)
  • IT, contract and technology law, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex agreements around digital products, platforms, SaaS, data processing and tech partnerships
  • Data protection and privacy law, particularly for new products, features and processes
  • Monitoring German and EU legislative initiatives, analysing and translating them into concrete business actions

Your tasks

You will closely accompany our products, services and initiatives legally and work with relevant stakeholders. Specific responsibilities include:
  • Advising functions such as Marketing, GTM, Sales, Product and Public Affairs on digital and regulatory issues
  • Supporting product development, launches and strategic projects from the start and providing practical, solution-oriented recommendations
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts with customers, partners and suppliers, as well as internal policies and templates
  • Analysing new regulatory developments in Germany and at EU level and translating them into actionable measures for the business
  • Assessing new business models, marketing initiatives, data flows, features and AI-related applications
  • Managing external law firms efficiently where needed
  • Developing guidelines, playbooks and trainings to embed legal requirements practically across the company
  • Contributing to process improvements, setting standards and strengthening the legal scalability of our business

Your profile

You are strongly encouraged to apply even if you do not meet every requirement. We value qualification and motivation.
To join our team you should have:
  • Qualification as a fully qualified lawyer (Volljurist:in) with at least 6–8 years of relevant professional experience
  • Solid experience in IT law, data protection, (online) marketing, e‑commerce and platform regulation
  • Very good understanding of digital products, data‑driven business models and technical contexts
  • Ability and enthusiasm to translate regulatory developments and legislative initiatives in Germany and the EU into company practice
  • Strong contract skills and pragmatic, solution‑oriented negotiation style
  • Independent, structured work style with high quality standards, while remaining hands‑on and business‑oriented
  • Clear, persuasive and audience‑appropriate communication on complex legal topics
  • Fluent German and English; additional languages (especially French) are a plus
Additional advantages:
  • Experience in competition law and AI‑related legal matters
  • Professional background combining law firm experience and in‑house work in a dynamic tech company
