What you'll do
Lead a new team dedicated to user rights and permission management. As an Engineering Manager, drive both technical strategy and team development for a mission-critical team that centralizes and simplifies access management for sensitive clinical and financial data across Europe's healthcare organizations.
Work in Doctolib's tech organization building innovative products and features to improve care teams' and patients' daily lives. Collaborate closely with product, design, and business teams in an agile environment to deliver robust, privacy-compliant, and user-friendly solutions.
About our tech environment
- Solutions built on a fully cloud-native platform supporting web and mobile app interfaces, multiple languages, and adapted to country and healthcare specialty requirements. Modularize the platform run in a distributed architecture through reusable components.
- Tech stack includes Rails, TypeScript, Java, Python, Kotlin, Swift, and React Native.
- AI is leveraged ethically to empower patients and health professionals.

- Lead and Manage: Guide a team of 6 Software Engineers specializing in data access and authorization, providing coaching, mentoring, and fostering their professional growth.
- Drive Gold Standard Vision: Lead the team’s mission to become the gold standard for access control within Doctolib's platform.
- Implement Advanced Frameworks: Oversee development of advanced, scalable authorization frameworks, including role-based and API-driven controls supporting clinical and financial features.
- Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with Product Managers, legal, and data protection teams to translate complex healthcare requirements into technical solutions.
- AI Tooling: Knowledge of AI tools and modern development practices.
About You
- Management Experience: 3+ years of engineering management experience with demonstrated people leadership skills.
- Technical Background: 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong technical foundation.
- High-Growth Environment: Experience in high-speed environments and scaling companies, self-sufficiency, and entrepreneurial ability.
- API Development: Experience building and maintaining APIs for permissions/authorization systems.
- Technical Proficiency: Backend development experience, preferably in environments similar to Doctolib's tech stack.
