Technical Sales & AI Implementation Manager for Ophthalmology Practices

Our mission is to prevent vision loss and ultimately blindness by providing a predictive AI software for ophthalmology centers that supports therapy planning for retinal patients. We use deep-learning models trained on thousands of cases and millions of images to predict the progression of chronic retinal diseases such as AMD, RVO and diabetic macular edema (DME), to individualize intravitreal therapies (IVOM) and to improve visual outcomes and therapy adherence.

Responsibilities

Your tasks as Technical Sales & Implementation Manager:
  • Support field representatives of our distribution partners (HE, ZEISS, Topcon) with on-site and remote implementation of our AI at customer sites.
  • Identify improvements in the IVOM workflow and train customers on how to get the most value from our AI assistant.
  • Participate in regional and national conferences to present and explain our solution to potential customers.
  • Provide feedback and new feature requests to our product management team.
Success looks like:
  • You know the IVOM process and customers' IT setup often better than they do.
  • You reduce our initial implementation time from 2–12 weeks to a few days.
  • We are live with our customers (including the latest updates) 99.9% of the time.
  • Our customers never consider switching to another tool because they continuously extract more value from our AI—thanks to your hands-on support both remotely and on-site.

Qualifications

Your must-haves
  • Strong, service-oriented communication skills in German and ideally English with different customer groups (e.g., ophthalmologists, medical assistants, and practice IT).
  • Tech-savviness and the ability to identify potential PC issues and involve internal IT for complex problems.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, able to work independently and remotely as part of a dynamic team.
Your nice-to-haves
  • Experience in sales, customer or IT support, or customer success.
  • Hands-on experience with medical imaging systems, ideally OCT, imaging software (PACS) and practice management / hospital systems (PVS/KIS).
  • Work experience in startups, AI, or healthcare.
  • Additional languages besides German, e.g., Dutch, French, Italian.

Benefits

  • Direct impact on improving the quality of life for patients and ophthalmologists.
  • Immediate responsibility for customer implementations in 1–2 countries, ensuring fast personal growth, with 4 colleagues and direct reporting to our CEO.
  • Flexible working hours, remote work, and—if needed—central offices in Munich main station and Münster (Westphalia).
  • Competitive, performance-related compensation.
  • Open startup culture, flat hierarchies and a diverse team (10+ nationalities, age range >30 years, 44% female) of experts (experience from >10 startups, >100 medical devices, >100,000 retinal therapies).
