Senior Software Engineer
Daymark Health is a value-based oncology company redefining the cancer care experience for patients, providers, and health plans. Daymark’s comprehensive, personalized cancer care platform empowers patients with dedicated care navigation, symptom-focused support, behavioral health care, and social resources. Combined with evidence-based health interventions and a hybrid in-person + virtual care model, Daymark is improving the overall cancer experience for patients, providers, and health plans.
About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer at Daymark Health, you will contribute to technical strategy, build secure and scalable infrastructure, and play a key role in developing our core product. You will work closely with engineers, product, data teams, operations, and external customers to shape a transformative cancer care experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Build alongside a strong team: Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of the cancer care platform with emphasis on user experience, workflow integration, and security. Familiarity with tools like Claude and Cursor and openness to experimentation is helpful.
- Customer collaboration: Engage with internal care teams (nurses, NPs), patients, providers, and health plans to gather feedback and inform product iterations.
- Technical execution: Work with operations, product, data engineering, and analytics to build core systems and tools that enable efficient, effective patient care.
- Security & compliance: Ensure systems are built with a strong security posture, including HIPAA compliance and adherence to SOC II standards.
What Success Looks Like
In the first 6 months, support the evolution of Daymark Health's initial product for thousands of patients, deploying AI-based SMS automation and internal tools to support care management. Over 12 months, grow into a key technical contributor shaping platform direction, including integrations with hospital systems and patient-facing tools.
Who You Are
We are looking for an experienced engineer who:
- Has 4+ years of experience designing and building user-centric products and is comfortable standing up third-party solutions and collaborating with contract teams.
- Is an AI-native builder and fluent with AI coding tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) and incorporates them into their workflow.
- Has familiarity with healthcare technology and interoperability standards (e.g., FHIR, HL7) — a plus.
- Has a security-first mindset with experience building and maintaining HIPAA-compliant systems and comfort with SOC II standards.
- Is action-oriented, communicates clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders, and is customer-focused.
