Senior Project Manager

Job Summary:
The Senior Project Manager will lead electrical construction projects from pre-planning through closeout, ensuring high quality results, customer satisfaction, and strong financial performance. This role also includes mentoring and developing project management staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Work with the estimator after the bid is won to manage the project to completion.
  • Plan labor hours, purchasing, pre-fabrication and schedule of work to communicate this to foreman and electricians for the project.
  • Estimate and process change orders.
  • Communicate with purchasing and subcontractors to secure schedule, scope and price.
  • Assist in Electrical Engineering/Engineering Consultation.
  • Maintain up-to-date change order, subcontractor, RFI and contingency logs.
  • Work with Superintendent to ensure labor plan is being carried out.
  • Create MEP schedules and manpower charts on all projects.
  • Promote and enforce a safe working environment.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

5+ years minimum experience with residential, commercial, institutional and industrial electrical construction required.
  • Proven track record of managing and overseeing electrical construction projects between $5K to $10 million.
  • Experience in monitoring labor performance to identify and track labor productivity.
  • Knowledge in generating construction schedules and updating same.
  • Knowledge in reading plans and specifications.
  • Ability to order, track and expedite for timely delivery of MEP and specialty items required for the project.
  • Knowledge and experience in managing multi-disciplined projects, a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience in design-build, a plus.

Skills & Benefits

Excellent communication skills, verbal and written; great attention to detail; works well in a team and independently. Preferred knowledge of Procore and Accubid estimating software, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), Agile Construction / lean construction (a plus), and working CAD and/or BIM experience.
