Your role in helping us shape the future: The Senior Accountant position based in Iselin, New Jersey will be primarily responsible for assisting with month-end and quarter-end close duties, completing ad hoc financial close projects, and working with employees across departments to maintain accurate financial records.
Responsibilities
- Perform revenue close procedures including revenue and deferred revenue journal entries, account reconciliations and fluctuation analysis
- Prepare month-end expense accruals and maintain detailed schedule of accrued expenses to ensure expenses are recognized in the correct periods
- Work collaboratively with other members of finance to assist in preparing monthly financial package and other management reports
- Prepare general ledger account reconciliations on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Complete assigned month and quarter end close journal entries and tasks
- Assist in preparing budgets and reforecasts
- Support external auditor requests
- Identify areas for improvement and update internal policies and process documentation
- Perform ad-hoc analysis and special projects as required
Location and Eligibility
This position is only open to NJ candidates. The role is based in Iselin, New Jersey and is on-site.
Additional Information
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA is a plus), a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a complex accounting environment, expert-level Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUPs), excellent communication skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
