Our client is seeking a Certified Elementary School Teacher - Chicago, IL.
The Certified Elementary School Teacher will deliver lessons in subjects such as English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies tailored to the developmental needs of elementary students, develop lesson plans that align with Illinois State Learning Standards, assess student progress, and maintain a positive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in teaching or a specialized subject.
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in elementary education (grades K-6).
- Familiarity with the Illinois State Learning Standards for elementary education.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging lessons across core elementary subjects aligned to state standards and the school curriculum.
- Develop effective, standards-aligned lesson plans and instructional materials.
- Regularly assess students' academic performance through tests, quizzes, assignments, and observations; provide feedback and identify areas for improvement.
- Establish and maintain a positive, productive classroom environment that promotes learning, respect, and appropriate behavior.
