Medical Coder

This position involves managing provider credentialing and enrollment, overseeing revenue cycle processes for clients, confirming patient insurance, addressing billing concerns, and providing virtual patient support consistent with applicable laws and regulations.

Key responsibilities include confirming correct coding usage, reconciling billing issues, tracking payments, entering patient demographic data, acting as a coding resource, collaborating to resolve claims, and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations including HIPAA.

Requirements for the role include a minimum of 2 years experience in healthcare billing, coding, and credentialing, along with an associate degree or equivalent education/experience in health information management or related fields. Strong communication skills in English, knowledge of Medi-Cal, Medicare, commercial payer billing, medical terminology, and intermediate Microsoft Suite skills are essential. The candidate must be able to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
