  • Define and execute a roadmap of high-impact initiatives to reduce systemic bottlenecks, streamline CI/CD pipelines, improve build reliability, and accelerate feedback loops.
  • Establish and report on key developer productivity metrics—such as build times, deployment success rates, cycle time, onboarding speed, and developer satisfaction—to demonstrate measurable impact.
  • Collaborate with engineering leadership, product teams, and platform groups to coordinate improvements and align efficiency efforts with organizational goals.
  • Oversee evaluation, implementation, and maintenance of developer tools that improve workflows, testing, and reliability across the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Translate technical improvements into business value for executive stakeholders, showing how investments in dev efficiency reduce cycle times and improve quality.

What you’ll need:

  • 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams focused on developer productivity, platform, DevOps, or similar domains.
  • Strong background in software engineering, build systems, CI/CD, automation frameworks, observability tooling, and developer toolchains.
  • Experience using data to drive decisions—familiarity with DORA metrics, SPACE frameworks, or Software Engineering Intelligence (SEI) platforms is preferred.
  • A passion for improving the day-to-day work of engineers and reducing cognitive load so teams can focus on delivering value.
  • Ability to work across teams, influence without authority, and drive change in complex engineering environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate strategy, progress, and outcomes to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Bonus points for :

  • Experience shaping and scaling developer productivity programs in small to medium engineering organizations.
  • Familiarity with developer workflow analytics and tools like Jellyfish or other telemetry/BI platforms.
  • Deep understanding of modern software delivery practices, including microservices, cloud-native environments, and automated testing.
  • Previous success in roles where developer experience and efficiency directly contributed to business velocity and quality.
