Overview
We are looking for a Sr. Director, Revenue Technology to serve as the technical engine behind Morning Brew's global revenue operations. Reporting to the SVP of Infrastructure & Studios, this individual contributor role owns the architecture and execution of the revenue technology stack end-to-end to ensure a seamless, automated, and intelligent lead-to-cash process.
What You'll Do
- Salesforce Core Management: Serve as the primary architect for our Salesforce instance, managing full CRM lifecycle work including custom objects/fields, complex Flows, and validation rules.
- Data Integrity & CRM Hygiene: Own the source of truth by establishing and enforcing data hygiene standards, deduplication, data mapping, and mass uploads.
- Workflow Architecture: Design and optimize integrations between Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo, Placements.io (OMS), and Sage Intacct (ERP) to ensure correct data flow from lead to booked revenue.
- Reporting & Insights: Build and maintain reports and dashboards that track Revenue KPIs and turn system data into actionable insights.
- Automation & AI: Build and maintain automations using Claude Code, n8n (or similar orchestration tools), Mastra, Inngest, and other workflow tools to automate tasks like contract auditing, media-plan summarization, and pricing checks.
- Enablement & Training: Lead rollouts of new system features, create documentation, and run training to ensure team adoption.
- Systems Strategy: Act as technical lead for Placements.io, managing product catalog, rate cards, and mapping logic to keep inventory accurate and synced with Salesforce.
What You'll Bring
- The Stack: Expert-level Salesforce administration (advanced Flows, complex data modeling, security/permissions) and experience with Placements.io or similar OMS; familiarity with Outreach and ZoomInfo preferred.
- Infrastructure Mindset: An obsession with clean data, documented processes, and scalable automation.
- AI Fluency: Practical experience applying AI tools in production workflows (Claude Code, Codex, or similar preferred).
- Low-Code/No-Code Mastery: Power-user ability to build systems using platform tools, APIs, and automation builders (n8n, Zapier, Make, etc.).
- AdTech & Media Knowledge: Understanding of flighting, impressions, eCPMs, and how media plans translate into invoices.
Why This Role Is Different
This role is embedded in the Revenue team and directly impacts go-to-market execution. It is not a back-office IT role—you will keep the foundation rock-solid while using AI and automation to build a world-class revenue engine.
Qualifications
- 4+ years in revenue operations, systems architecture, or CRM administration.
- At least 2 years managing a complex Salesforce instance and experience in the AdTech/Media space; hands-on experience with Order Management Systems (Placements.io, ADvendio, Operative, or similar) is strongly preferred.
- Salesforce Certifications: Certified Administrator (strongly preferred); Platform App Builder or Advanced Admin highly preferred.
- Technical Literacy: Ability to read/write basic JSON and work with REST APIs.
- AI Practicality: Demonstrated experience using AI productivity tools (building GPTs, AI-based data cleansing, or LLM-driven workflow automation). Bonus for experience with Claude Code or MCP integrations.
