Events Marketing Lead

About the Role

We're hiring an Events Marketing Lead to own how Bunkerhill shows up in the world—at the conferences and trade shows that matter in healthcare, and through the intimate, high-impact experiences we host ourselves.
This is not a coordinator role. You will own end-to-end execution across our full event portfolio—from major healthcare conferences to executive dinners, recruiting events, and Bunkerhill-hosted summits. You will define what we do at each event, how we show up, and what happens before and after to make sure every activation drives real outcomes.
You will work closely with our founders, our head of marketing, and across content, sales, and other functions. This is a high-ownership role in a lean, fast-moving environment. You will set the strategy, run the logistics, and hold yourself accountable for outcomes.

What You'll Do

Event Execution & Portfolio Management
  • Own end-to-end execution across our full event portfolio—conferences, trade shows, recruiting events, executive dinners, roundtables, and Bunkerhill-hosted summits
  • Lead conference and trade show execution with tight project management: pre-event outreach, logistics, onsite operations, and ancillary programming
  • Design and run owned activations (executive dinners, customer roundtables, Bunkerhill Summits) to build relationships with customers, prospects, and partners
  • Engage and direct vendors or event agencies for larger productions when required
  • Manage all event logistics end-to-end: venues, vendors, catering, AV, travel, materials, and onsite coordination
  • Build repeatable playbooks for each event type so execution becomes more consistent over time
Strategy & Prioritization
  • Partner with founders and marketing leadership to shape how Bunkerhill is positioned and experienced at each event
  • Determine the right programming for each context and define successful outcomes
  • Develop speaker program strategy—identify opportunities, manage submissions, and prepare speakers for high-visibility moments
  • Support the content team to ensure event moments translate into recaps, customer stories, social coverage, and thought leadership
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
  • Define success metrics for each event type and track meetings generated, relationships advanced, pipeline influenced, and qualitative signals
  • Manage event budgets with rigor and make investment trade-offs based on expected outcomes
  • Conduct structured post-mortems after major events and feed learnings back into planning and execution

What Success Looks Like

  • Owned activations feel distinctive and well-designed—people leave wanting to come back
  • Conference presence is tight and intentional: prepared teams, the right conversations, and strong follow-through
  • Every event has a clear plan before and a clear read-out after
  • Cross-functional coordination is smooth—founders, sales, and content know what to expect
  • We continually get smarter about which events are worth it and how to improve them

Who You Are

  • You take ownership of outcomes, not just tasks—you make sure things actually happen
  • Highly organized and able to manage many moving pieces without dropping details
  • Strong operational instincts and experience running complex logistics under pressure
  • Clear communicator with executive presence—comfortable engaging senior healthcare leaders
  • You have a point of view on excellent event experiences and advocate for them
  • You move quickly, make judgments with incomplete information, and course-correct without drama
  • You think in systems: build playbooks, document what works, and make the next event easier

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience executing B2B events—conferences, trade shows, and owned activations—from planning through post-event follow-up
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of keeping complex programs moving across stakeholders
  • Experience managing event budgets and vendor/agency relationships
  • Comfort operating with significant autonomy in a fast-moving, early-stage environment
  • Willingness to travel regularly for events, customer dinners, and on-site activations
  • SF-based, in-office 3+ days per week; open to remote for the right candidate

Nice to Have

  • Experience in healthcare, health IT, or clinical AI; familiarity with healthcare conferences (HIMSS, HLTH, Becker's, ViVE, etc.)
  • Experience in adjacent industries (enterprise tech, life sciences, or other regulated B2B sectors)
  • Comfort with CRM-based measurement and pipeline attribution

Why Bunkerhill Health

  • Real impact at leading health systems: Carebricks is live at major hospitals, powering clinical workflows
  • Award-winning AI implementation—named “Best in AI Implementation” in Inc.’s 2025 Best in Business Awards
  • Backed by top-tier investors including Sequoia Capital, Felicis, Optum Ventures, SciFi VC, SV Angel, and a $25M Series B led by Khosla Ventures
  • Recognized as one of AI’s “killer apps” by Sequoia
  • Regulatory and clinical credibility with multiple FDA-cleared algorithms deployed in clinical workflows
  • Joining at an inflection point: rapid revenue growth to multi-million-dollar ARR
  • Opportunity to help define the category and shape how health systems design and scale AI-enhanced workflows
Compensation Range: $175K - $200K
