We are seeking a highly motivated Support Specialist in the field of Image Guided Surgery to cover our installed base in hospitals in the Netherlands. The field service position reports to the Regional Manager and is home-office based. Preferably located in Amsterdam or the Randstad region, you will serve our hospital customers in the region.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Perform installations, preventive maintenance, inspections and repairs of the Brainlab platforms Curve, Kick and Buzz used in hospital operating rooms
- Execute software and hardware updates and upgrades
- Setup network integrations and virtual machine servers
- Troubleshoot onsite and remotely and analyze problems to find solutions
- Analyze, interpret and compose network diagrams, schematics and wiring diagrams
- Plan, organize and implement your service assignments
- Complete installations and service assignments efficiently and in a timely manner
- Communicate professionally and build strong customer relationships
- Provide friendly, calm and competent face-to-face customer support
- Instruct and train customers in proper use of products and services
- Perform and document mandatory administrative tasks accurately according to Brainlab policies
- Collaborate with the team at regional and European levels
- Keep up to date with trainings, re-trainings and certifications
- Stay informed about Brainlab and competitive products and services
- Deliver a high level of customer service
Training for the role is 4 to 6 weeks and is conducted at our headquarters in Munich and in the field with experienced colleagues.
Your assigned region is the Netherlands; you will also support colleagues in Belgium and Luxembourg as needed. Based from your home office, four out of five days you will be on the road in your region with occasional travel abroad.
Qualifications
- Preferably a Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering/Technology, Medical Technology or a technical or IT-related degree, or equivalent experience
- Enjoy hands-on work with high-tech equipment
- Interest in computer technology, IT networks and software
- Ability to self-plan, organize and implement service activities
- Work well both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to travel within the Benelux area and abroad
- Fluent in English and Dutch; French is a plus
