The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) specializing in functional testing and automation using Selenium and Python. You will ensure the quality and reliability of our software products by collaborating with developers, product managers, and QA professionals to deliver robust, high-performing software solutions.
Youre a Fit If You Have
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building automation frameworks and testing web and machine learning applications. Key qualifications and skills include:
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Developer/Engineer in Test
- Quality-first mindset and ability to write unit tests and deep dive into code
- Experience developing test automation frameworks using Selenium, Python, TestNG, and PyTest
- Worked on web applications and machine learning applications as SDET/QE
- Good exposure to either JavaScript or Python
- Familiarity with containerization concepts such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with Agile/rapid development processes
- Certification in software testing (for example, ISTQB Foundation Level)
- Experience with other automation frameworks such as TestNG, Cucumber, or Robot Framework
- Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and testing RESTful APIs using Python-based tools
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and build tools (Maven, Gradle)
- Experience with performance testing tools and techniques (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) integrated with Python
- Understanding of cloud platforms and testing in cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure) with Python
Bonus Points
Additional desirable skills and attributes:
- Exposure to public cloud offerings such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience implementing or working with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with microservices
- Exposure to machine learning and related Python libraries (e.g., Pandas)
- Familiarity with visualization libraries such as D3.js
- Familiarity with AI/ML and data analytics frameworks
- Familiarity with databases like Postgres and Elasticsearch (ELK)
- Owner mentality and ability to work independently and lead quality initiatives
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work on a remote/global team
- Passionate, collaborative, and eager to learn and grow
