Job description

AssistMe is a young, growing Health-Tech startup with a big vision: to sustainably improve everyday care for all involved.
With our digital care assistance system alea, we bring innovation directly to the bedside. Our sensor-based solution for incontinence and movement monitoring relieves caregivers, improves care for recipients, and protects the environment.
What drives us:
  • More time for real care: alea reduces unnecessary control rounds and simplifies processes
  • More quality of life: for residents who are cared for with dignity and individually
  • Less burden: for caregivers who can act more targeted
  • Less waste: through more efficient use of resources
We are currently rolling out our system in care facilities across Europe and are looking for a new team member with technical understanding and desire to make a real impact.
About the role
As a Technical Operations Specialist, you will be an important team member for the efficient operation of our manufacturing processes. You will also manage all steps towards the successful implementation of our system in care facilities. You will be in close contact with the software and firmware team, take on quality management of the hardware and the finished system, and be a point of contact for stakeholders, external suppliers, and care facilities.
Your tasks
  • Assembly, testing, and optimization of all hardware, firmware, and partly software components based on our quality standards
  • Conducting comprehensive functional and performance tests of hardware and software, including sensors, wearables, cloud applications, web app, and mobile app
  • Monitoring, analysis, and problem solving in close cooperation with the software and embedded systems team, on- and off-site
  • Coordination, implementation, and technical supervision of our system in care facilities to ensure smooth application
  • Supply chain management: coordination of suppliers, inventory management, and support for procurement and manufacturing processes
  • Active participation in the next product generation by defining and developing requirements for our hardware and software components
Your profile
  • Completed bachelor's or master's degree with a substantial technical component, e.g., industrial engineering, software engineering/computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, IoT, or a comparable field
  • Enthusiasm for diverse technical topics and ability to quickly familiarize yourself with them
  • Hands-on mentality and a willingness to get to the bottom of things
  • Strong team spirit, structured working style, and confident problem-solving skills
  • Very good German skills (min. B2), good English skills
  • Willingness to travel to implement our system in care facilities
Not required but advantageous:
  • Experience with Linux operating systems, command line interfaces (CLI), bug reporting tools (e.g., Jira ticketing), and basic understanding of network concepts for IoT devices
  • Valid driver's license (class B)
Our benefits:
  • Permanent employment contract, meaningful work, and competitive salary
  • Nice office directly at S-Bahn Tiergarten, near TU Berlin
  • Flat hierarchies, an agile team, and short decision-making paths
  • Team events and a diverse, international company culture
  • Detailed insights into the functioning of startups and the digital health sector
  • Urban Sports Club benefits
