The Role
The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) will lead sales, business development, and marketing, accelerating the company’s transition to a technology-driven organization, driving platform adoption and expanding market reach. This pivotal role includes defining and executing go-to-market strategy, building a high-performing commercial team, refining company messaging, and expanding the customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a commercial strategy supporting the transition to a technology-first company.
- Expand sales from organic growth to structured outbound-driven efforts.
- Recruit, mentor, and manage a strong sales and marketing team aligned with growth goals.
- Oversee marketing efforts and establish a dedicated strategic marketing function.
- Drive customer acquisition and retention focusing on payers and provider organizations optimizing value-based care contracts.
Qualifications
- Deep expertise in healthcare technology, specifically value-based care, payer-provider solutions, or healthcare analytics.
- Proven experience scaling commercial functions in high-growth SaaS or healthcare services.
- Successful track record in go-to-market strategy development and execution.
- Experience operating in fast-paced, evolving startup environments, especially transitioning from service-heavy to tech-focused models.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills attracting top-tier sales and marketing talent.
- Experience managing partnerships with payers, providers, and healthcare organizations for business growth.
- Ability to expand into new markets and customer bases in healthcare.
- Analytical skills for data-driven decision making on market trends and sales performance.
- Collaboration abilities with product, actuarial, and technology teams to align commercial strategy.
- Bachelor’s degree required, master’s preferred.
