Technical Product Manager — Digital Health Platform

Position: Technical Product Manager — Digital Health Platform
Team: Product Management
Reports to: Head of Product
Location: Remote / Hybrid (US)

The Opportunity

Healthcare is being rebuilt by AI. Amalgam Rx is building an intelligent, modular digital health platform that integrates clinical AI, EHR integration, pharma partnerships, and patient engagement to power clinical decision support and health system solutions across therapeutic areas.
We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to own the platform: module architecture, configurability layer, intelligence roadmap, and strategic conviction. You will synthesize market signals, run a research preview program, and turn early signals into product bets.

What Youll Do

Own the Platform
  • Own end-to-end platform strategy: module catalog, configurability, variant architecture, and roadmap.
  • Define module maturity stages: configurable, AI-enhanced, and agentic.
  • Maintain a living platform catalog to make reusability the default.
  • Build business cases for platform investments: which modules to build, extend, or deprecate.
  • Modularize and abstract the platform for compatibility across diseases and care pathways.
  • Define multiple user flows for the same module to adapt to different disease management programs.
Be the Keeper of Why
  • Maintain an updated point of view on market, technology, and patient trends for the platform six to eighteen months out.
  • Track the competitive landscape with rigor and distinguish signal from noise.
  • Synthesize shifting patient and provider expectations driven by consumer AI and solutions.
  • Defend platform directions with evidence and challenge consensus when warranted.
Build, Dont Just Specify
  • Prototype platform features and module experiences using AI-assisted tools to validate ideas before engineering commits.
  • Write developer-ready requirements: user stories, acceptance criteria, edge cases, and integration specs.
  • Continuously experiment with emerging AI and software capabilities and translate findings into platform bets.
Run the Product Lab
  • Stand up and run the research preview program for controlled releases of modules and AI capabilities.
  • Collaborate with design to run experiments with hypotheses, metrics, intervention arms, and clean instrumentation.
  • Measure intervention effectiveness; double down on successful modules and retire what doesn't move outcomes.
  • Close the loop from research into roadmap, partnering with clinical, regulatory, and legal teams.
Lead Discovery with Clients
  • Lead product-side early-stage client engagements: present the platform, run solution-mapping workshops, demonstrate modules, and scope builds vs configuration.
  • Communicate with senior pharma stakeholders about outcomes, adherence, real-world evidence, and formulary positioning.
  • Promote reuse-first solutions: show existing modules that handle most needs and negotiate novel requirements.
Collaborate Across Functions
  • Partner with engineering on architecture decisions supporting modularity and configurability.
  • Work with design on interaction patterns and module standards.
  • Partner with data and clinical teams on measurement infrastructure and therapeutic-area product owners to feed insights into the roadmap.

What Success Looks Like

  • The platform catalog is comprehensive, current, and used in every client conversation.
  • New engagements start from existing modules; custom builds are the exception.
  • Modules advance predictably from configurable to AI-enhanced to agentic.
  • Leadership has a clear, well-defended view of market direction and platform positioning.
  • The research preview program produces credible findings that shape roadmap and client narratives.
  • Engineering ships faster because requirements are precise and prototypes set clear expectations.

What Were Looking For

Experience
  • 56 years in product management with direct ownership of a platform, product infrastructure, or modular product system.
  • Track record building and scaling technology products used by large user bases (digital health, consumer health, fintech, or comparable domains).
  • Experience driving product strategy: competitive analysis, trend synthesis, and thesis development.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-powered products: personalization, recommendations, conversational AI, predictive models, or agentic workflows.
  • Experience designing and running structured experiments: A/B tests, beta cohorts, research panels, or clinical pilots.
  • Experience presenting to and negotiating with C-level or senior enterprise stakeholders.
  • Healthcare, digital health, or life sciences experience strongly preferred.
Demonstrated Ability
  • Describe strategic calls you defended in front of leadership and their outcomes.
  • Show a prototype you built that changed a stakeholder conversation or unlocked a decision.
  • Describe an experiment you designed end-to-end and what you did with the results.
  • Point to a product or capability where the fingerprints are clearly yours.
Who You Are
  • A builder. You prototype before you present and ship rough-but-real quickly.
  • A platform thinker. You focus on modules, variant models, configurability, and competitive moats.
  • A strategist who synthesizes. You connect signals from pharma, AI research, FDA guidance, and competitor releases.
  • An experimenter. You design small tests and read results honestly.
  • Entrepreneurial. You make calls in ambiguity and course-correct quickly.
  • Always learning. You keep a running list of new tools and models youve explored.
  • A clear communicator. You translate platform concepts to both pharma executives and engineers.

Why Amalgam

  • Youll own a platform, not a feature, and shape the strategic thesis behind it.
  • Youll build with AI and prototype with AI coding tools and agents.
  • Youll run a research lab with clinical, regulatory, and engineering partnership.
  • Youll work on products that power clinical decisions and patient engagement in regulated settings.
  • Youll move fast with a small, sharp team and ship meaningful capabilities in days and weeks.
  • Youll grow with the company and help define standards for digital health platforms.
