About the role
Own our omics data modalities and enforce the highest scientific standards across multiple teams. Work on the next generation of anti-cancer drug discovery and support translational research projects by processing and interpreting results from omics data. Collaborate with ML researchers, biological scientists, and engineers to generate findings that improve the standard of care.
What we are looking for
- Ph.D. or MSc. in Computational Biology/Bioinformatics with a proven track record of publications
- Passion for the highest scientific standards and in-depth knowledge of cancer biology and computational oncology
- 3+ years of relevant industry experience in biotech or pharmaceutical settings
- Advanced skills in Python and R with the ability to prototype analyses and solutions effectively
- Broad multi-omics expertise including scRNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics, CRISPR, proteomics and strong knowledge of statistical analyses
- Excellent communication skills for broad audiences, teamwork, and data visualization skills
Nice to have
- Familiarity with fundamental machine learning concepts
- Experience with multimodal machine learning
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructures (AWS, GCP)
Where you can show your impact
- Own various omics data processing pipelines within our code ecosystem, continuously improving and harmonizing them and contributing Python-based pipelines for large-scale proteomic, genomic, transcriptomic, and epigenetic data processing
- Consult drug discovery and translational research teams on best practices, feasibility of computational biology analyses, and presentation of biological data
- Elevate insights from machine learning models into concrete biological hypotheses and validate them in-silico using public and proprietary data sources
- Educate and mentor team members on advances in computational biology methodology for oncology research
