Company profile

Overview

Cortex aims to transform the diagnosis and treatment of atrial arrhythmias by providing insight into each individual patient’s disease pathophysiology.
The OptiMap™ System is a 510(k) cleared, electrographic flow (EGF) mapping solution designed with AI, enabling physicians to See What Matters.

Technology and Solution

The OptiMap™ System uses an advanced mapping system that calculates Electrographic Flow™ (EGF) from a single minute of unipolar electrogram signals recorded from the 64-electrode OptiMap™ basket catheter. The software uses an innovative optical flow algorithm to enable the full spatiotemporal reconstruction of the chaotic and disorganized electrical conduction of atrial fibrillation.
For each patient, the EGF algorithm provides vector flow estimations identifying active sources that may represent triggers or drivers of atrial arrhythmias outside the pulmonary veins. This allows personalized treatment approaches based on the pathophysiology of individual disease.
The technology enables optimization of ablation strategies for complex atrial arrhythmias, aiming to minimize ablative tissue destruction while improving clinical success.
