Babyndex recognizes fertile saliva crystal patterns with computer vision to predict ovulation – USPTO positive answer on pending patent. Ovulation microscopes have been in use for saliva testing for decades. FDA approved the analogue "saliva ovulation test" for ovulation prediction in 2004. For women, estrogen and salt levels increase in saliva during the most fertile days and form fern-shaped patterns. Babyndex is the first mobile application that has a cloud-based computer vision algorithm that automatically recognizes these fern-shaped saliva crystals.
