Honic — unlocking German real‑world health data
Honic (operated by Health Data Technologies) makes German real‑world health data accessible and useful for medical and health‑care research, including AI applications. With a focus on privacy, interoperability and data quality, Honic builds a linkable ecosystem of electronic health records, laboratory data and mortality records to support research that improves diagnosis, treatment and public health.
What we do
We normalize care data into a FHIR‑based common data model, perform thorough quality control and enable linkage across healthcare silos using an interoperable pseudonymisation approach. Data access is provided in a secure Trusted Research Environment or as anonymized data packages and dashboards. Honic’s compliance architecture was co‑developed with data protection authorities and patient organisations to ensure GDPR‑compliant secondary use of health data.
Key services:
- Data normalization into a common FHIR model
- Cross‑silo linkage of EHR, lab and mortality data

- Secure analysis in a Trusted Research Environment or delivery of anonymized datasets and cohort dashboards
Honic partners with academic institutions, patient organisations and technology providers to grow a trusted ecosystem that serves research and the public good.
